Insightful infographic by InSync below gives a good background on the growth of SAP. I feel they could of dwelled a bit more on the latter part of their growth. Such as some huge acquisitions they made. In particular the purchase of Business Objects back in 2007 was a huge win for them to enter into the business intelligence market.
Hana is another topic that should have been mentioned in this infographic as even SAP’s Fourth Quarter earnings on Jan 10 2014 alluded to Cloud based & Hana as a big focus for SAP as it slowly transitions out of the legacy.
Overall a good inforgraphic to give any SAP newcomer a history on SAP while being easy on the eyes.
