My Senior Supervisor Dr. Jian Pei

I was going to write about my senior supervisor in a summary in my defense. However, to describe a man like Dr. Jian Pei, I really needed to enter a new blog entry. In life, we are not very often blessed to meet people of greatness. As my favorite quote from Isaac Newton states, "If I have seen a little further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants". This quote really does tell the story about Dr. Pei. This is the story of how I met this great person, Dr. Pei.

Future Technology… Where is it headed?

During my undergrad years, I've always wondered: This has already been done, that has already been done... What is next? Is there any more advances in the technology industry? As always something new seems to be cropping up and catching the eye of the public. After all it is the public that drives the industry. Even now I am wondering what is new? What can be done to become the next millionaire?

Favorite Quote

When I heard this quote, I was shocked. I know to many it maybe like so what? But I think its a really thoughtful and just plain nice quote. The quote: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" I heard this quote believe it or not in a movie (Hitch). I must say that was a very good movie in deed, one of the best movies staring Will Smith next to another favorite movie of Will which is (In Pursuit of Happiness). Couple of my other favorite quotes are:

libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 on Ubuntu

If you get like this error on Ubuntu, error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory it means the library isn’t available and you need to install it. The following command will get rid of it. I came across this error when trying to install vertias backup client on ubuntu. sudo apt-get install libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 Thusjanthan Kubendranathan

Flash MX 2004 is not as easy as I thought… What else…?

Soo... Don't know really what to put in a blog yet... So going to keep this blog a "personal" goals/accomplishments/just day to day stuff. So what did I accomplish today: I must say been trying to learn this Flash MX 2004 is tougher then I thought. I purchased a template from templatemonster.com to customize for a client. I knew how to do some flash using flash 5 back in the days and currently do some flash work (if needed) using Swish. So thought "Hey how hard could it be...", it seems harder then I thought.
